    Was watching a doe on the edge off my beans at about 7:15, when I heard two high powered rifle shots, the second of which had that distinctive double thud. Sounded real close, lime the guy hunting on the 40 just west of me. About ten minutes later I hear a truck leaving from there. It's a dirty road worth no traffic on it. Man that pisses me off!!!!!!

    In the last half hour things have picked up a little. Had a spike, small 8 and a forkie come by.

    Just moved my stand mid morning. Tree I picked this morning was just leaning too far forward. Setup a little better now. I've seen on squirrel.

    I've had a lone doe, lone buck, doe with 2 fawns being dogged by a small buck. Been a blessed day no matter what else happens.

    Seen 5 young bucks cruising this morning. Could have just jumped on a spike's back.
    Sucks the wind is pickin up though

    This will be my first dark to dark sit this year. It is the opener of the MN gun season so I have my Savage 20 gauge bolt action slug gun with me today. Seen 4 does a small 8 pointer and a half racked 8 but it is damn windy!!!

    Nothing happened this morning. Took the girlfriend home and headed to a pretty sweet public land spot. Hoping for better luck.
