I have heard of live decoys, guess you will find out if a dead one will work the same.

    Congrats Brad!

I'm on the edge of a doe bedding area and they've been coming out to the field which barely has anything to eat for them. There's little patches of clover in between broom sage and recently planTed pines. Just had a doe and fawn run out of thicket like something was after them. Seen nothing yet. And decent buck or doe gets an arrow!

Well, it was a small sixer after them. Just witnessed first signs of the rut.

This is great. For once no body is cutting the lawn, trees or having a great time making loud noise. Comon mr. BUCK

First heart pounding experience this season. About a 100" 8 stepped out and was walking out of range. I bleated with the can hoping he'd investigate. I think he caught a sniff of me and he bolted. I've passed bigger before but would have shot him anyway.

Wow this afternoon sucked! Didn't see a deer and as I was packing up one if my carrying straps broke in my climber so I had a long haul back with all my gear on my back with one strap.

Stayed in the stand all but an hour today. Saw one lonely buck about 1630 and I'm not even sure it was a shooter. It was so windy I thought I was gonna get blown out of the tree. I guess I'll get back to it tomorrow.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim
