was a slow hunt this afternoon called in a small eight point about 80 inch will be back out this weekend

 

Today marks the day I killed my giant last year. I am sneaking into a freshly hung set on the same property via "Mistreated" my Ol boat. Prepared for an all day sit. I expect no middle ground today. This should either be complete failure or epic success.

Well after taking the last 2 days off due to rain and lack of motivation I am back out. Not off to a good start, I had planned on being 20ft up today, but my stomach is not happy this morning for some reason, so I opted for the ground blind in case nature starts calling again. Also did not make it in as early as usual, but still early enough. The sky is just barely starting to lighten up, didn't have time to check cams, so no idea what has passed by the last 2 days. Good luck to any and all out hunting.

 

Congrats Pat well i had three more Does go by about 80 yards yesterday eve while sitting in the rain! Small buck chased a Doe all around me! The nasty front has went through. Its. Beautiful cold crisp morning and im ready! If it dosenf pan out by 10:00 ill be moving sta d waaaay back in timber where i hunted holly wood last year!

 

The. Covert shows he has walked under this stand 3x's in the last 3 days! Here is to hoping he makes that mistake today.

Man I love this stuff!!!! Good luck gentleman (I use the term loosely of course)

After today, I have the next 4 days to hunt, sans Saturday afternoon ...gotta big shebang for my parent's 50 anniversary

 

I'm going all day today. Starting at the public site this morning in a ground blind. At about 11am ill take off, stop by cabelas, then head to my private land for the afternoon. This way I get maximum hunting in and I don't have to get up at 3am to make it to my private spot an hour before shooting time.

 

Finally in the stand. It is just not my day. I got in late, dropped my bow holder and now I hear yotes!

Wind is really starting to pick up. Hate is a strong word, but I have a strong dislike for wind.

 

18 deg. Frosty. All that rain we had early in the week has turning everything crunchy. Good news is I should hear anything coming no problem. Bad news is I made alot of noise coming in.
