I've for my two sons with me. I figure if I can break it up every few hours, by the time they realize, they've done an all day sit. It hurts me that I have to trick them, but its for the greater good of the tribe. :p

Shaping up to be another long, uneventful sit. Where have all the deer gone?

Just moved again, this is the 3rd and final time, got off the ground and up a tree. I was surrounded by does all morning but just get a shot opportunity, hoping I can kill my first deer today

Mine looks like that until after January, then it is clean until April when turkey season kicks in.

I hear something that sounds like hammering, or maybe somebody using a hatchet. About 200yds to my right. I can't see him, but I sure would like to know what's going on since whatever it is is on my property. But I don't want to get down. Maybe it's a 200lb woodpecker?

I didn't get out this morning, figure I'd let my uncle brush hog the area I was sitting yesterday. Text another guy that was hunting about 15-20 miles away and said he seen a medium buck following some does early but nothing after that.

Maybe there's more to this rutting moon theory and late rut this year after all. I really want to hunt in the morning but motivation is lacking. Im not understanding it this year. Sure we had late crops, and even seems like the forest is running a bit late, usually not as many leaves still up, but we've for the most part had ideal temps which is usually the biggest excuse.

Just finished taking a 2 hour Praxis test, yeah I'd much rather be in the woods.
