    Settled in a stand I haven't hunted yet this season. Its right around 50 so I broke out the boot insulators. :) my feet get cold easily. Got a good feeling!

    In stand with my sons this morning. Saw a really nice sized buck standing on the side of the freeway this morning. I've seen plenty of does, but never a buck trying to cross the road. Just got done raining, slight drizzle here and there, 42 degrees. 5 mph wind out of NW. Should be a good day to slay something. Good luck to everybody today

    Lights starting to come up. I dropped a 35lb bag of carrots here 4 days ago.not a crumb left. I better see a deer today. I'm getting tired if buying these guys lunch and not getting a simple thank you from them.

    Got about 10 mins till legal shooting time. Getting really discouraged, was getting pictures all last week on this field at night. Since I checked it 2 days ago, nothing.

    I used the "can"call by blowing into it followed by some light grunts. Had a doe coming in bleating all the way. She came at 30 yards...hoping a big boy will catch her trail. I've also seen a coon and gray fox. Got another doe feeding about 60 yards out. On what, I do not know. No acorns this year.

    Little breezy and cool here. Already had 2 small bucks milling around and a turkey come off the roost. Unfortunately got picked off by one of the little guys but he snorted once and left so I'm not too worried.
