In the stand now. Jumped about a 140" buck on my way in, but the good news is he was walking down the creek at 2:00. That tells me things are starting to cruise around more during daylight now. Time to hurry up and wait.

Well that's a first for me, I just saw a groundhog from the stand. He went by my Covert, so I'm sure I got a pic of him. Pretty cool little encounter

I'm in, all set up, and ready. I'm hunting on the edge off my soybean plot, hunting over the decoy for the first time this season. Has the days of rain, so I think there should be some good movement this evening. Bumped three does off there beds on the neighbors property as I walked in.

Well I went and checked on my blind and pulled the card on the cam I have in front of it. Seen a deer running off as I entered the field. Got home and checked the card, and my heart sank. Tiney, one of my target bucks was standing right in front of my blind at 6:10, plenty of light left. I will be in that blind tomorrow, but I bet he doesnt make the same mistake.

It's November!!!

And soon I will be in a stand, really hoping this front having passed has them up and moving today. A bit on the windy side but who cares, it's November!!

Vacation day 2- in the blind today, hoping Tiney makes the same mistake as he did last night, or one of the new bucks I got showing up would do as well. Good luck everyone that is out.

 

Decided to stay home this morning. I've been hunting hard all week and the weather sucks today. Almost 70 degrees with 40-50 mph winds. I love hunting when is windy but not in these temps. Good luck everyone! I'll be out there tomorrow.

Appreciate the vote, Bro but sustained winds of 40mph and gusts over 60 kept me home today....now the next 4 I will be out there all day

 

Talk about wind, the trees here in MD are at 45 degree angles. Staying in til it dies down.

 

Wind is surprisingly very calm here. Supposed to gust to 25 today. Nothing like out east but it wasn't supposed to be so calm right now.

Got in about 6 this morning. Now just waiting for shooting light and a buck to cruise on by.
