    Why ya burning breakfast?!

When my boys were young, I'd help cook for our RA camping trips usually for 30-60 each morning.

Cheese grits, eggs, bacon and biscuits were the normal breakfast fare.. A Coleman stove or Blackstone will work a bit better for car camping trips. Biscuits reheat best in an oven (we would get the campfire going, rake coals to the side and fashion a stove from some flat rocks laid over the coals; note don't use damp rocks they explode).

For deeper wood camping, boiled water based meals (oatmeal, grits, or eggs in a freezer bag plunged into boiling water)...these all work with any camp/potable stove.

    Nice shot!
looks just like the MegaMeat commercials. :moose:

I wish those heads weren't so darn expensive for basically being one-and-dones; they are deadly AF.

neighbors got them on cam in daylight back in August. It's funny, almost a night/day mirror image:

Whole different meaning to it all when you get to share the learning with the kids. It has been a great day!

Congratulations to all the deer killers today!

For us, I was trying to convince my son to hold out for another 1/2 hour because he was getting bored. 10 minutes later she came in heading to the acorns behind us. At 12 yards I forgot to aim low and got her high. Acorns were the ticket for us this weekend. My son got his first big whiff stomach gas! Making memories, haha.

I got out there and there was a car that I thought the hunter might be in the area I wanted to go. I walked about halfway back to the spot and decided I didn't want to take the chance of ruining someone's hunt. To be honest, I'm not positive they were in the spot where I wanted go but I just didn't want to take the chance. I ended up going back to the truck and drove around. The amazing thing was I only saw 4 cars total and one of those may have been a fisherman. I decided I would not go there on the weekends anymore because even though I only saw the four cars in the evening, there were alot of guys who had signed in Saturday morning. I will probably give it another try but only through the week. You can check it out, it's the Mississenewa battlefield, I'm sure you know where it is. As for your permission properties, I wouldn't mind if you wanted to tag along with me sometime to my private properties. I don't have a hunting partner at all anymore. My brother-in-law moved to Florida permanently. I think you have my number if you're interested
