Sorry to hear that. Curious what brought this on? If anyone has reason to be apathetic towards hunting, it would be me. I've done 8 evening hunts (32 hours) since opening day, and seen exactly two deer! But, I still go into my blind each time with confidence that things will change at some point. I know the pre-rut/rut is still ahead of me, and I know for sure a decent buck is in the area, somewhere. It's the hope of getting a chance at him that keeps me confident. It's all about attitude.

Nothing for me again. Not sure when I'll get back. Supposed to get pretty warm then cool off later in the week.

Got home, changed, sat down to eat and, behold, the power came back on! 9 day camping extravaganza in my home is over!

Pa Statewide came in today, heading to the farm for an evening sit, after this weird buck and or doe!

Good wind this morning for an acorn sit. 2 bucks and a mom with 2 little ones. Getting their snack before the 80 degree afternoon. Looking like its going to be dry weather for awhile.

I'll get out one of these days .... maybe one of these cooler AM's before work ... However, I hate driving the 40miles (one way !) just for a 3-4 hour sit, hardly any sleep then have to be into work by 3pm (3-11's)(30 mile drive one way !), even worse if I kill sumpthin' ... to warm to let hang and no time to butcher, 3 local processors I used closed up .... rush, rush, rush, rush to get out, rush to pull every thing down, rush to get home, rush to get to work .... life/hunting was so simpler when I hunted for 16+ years 7 miles from the house on that 160 acres .... :0(

was planning on taking either next Fri/Sat off and let my guys work 12's without me, now I see it will be 80 degs again .... crap ...... I'm giving one guy off tomorrow, so back to those 12's for a day, as if working 7 days work weeks aint bad enough being short handed ..

I love non-typical bucks. You don't see them very often, especially like the one you have running around! This is the only one I've ever killed.

No luck for me this morning, got down at 9:30 and did some scouting, bumped a couple does and found a couple nice licking branches together but the scrape hasn’t opened up. No service in the ravine I found the sign in and only had cell cams with me so I didn’t set anything up on it

Thank you. I had him on trail cam pics, but didn't expect to see him, let alone kill him. But, on November 14th, 2015 he came by my stand trailing a hot doe. I put an end to his lady chasing. :tu:
