In a VT tree for the first time this season. My opener even if the season is on its 5th day. Buck, turkey or bear on the menu. My Bucks come through between 7 and 7:30 if they come. Shooting time of 6:25. We will see.

Before I get started on today’s hunting topic, wanted to take a second and just say how amazing this forum family is. My dad shot a buck last night he’s 62 and has back and leg issues, he struggled for awhile trying to get this deer loaded into his truck, I was over an hour away and reached out to one of the members here who lives fairly close by. Without batting an eye he asked for the address and said he will be there! Thank you so much, this forum truly is a family!

On to todays hunt, got up at 3:15 and headed south to Public in MD. I’ve actually never run into a hunter from Maryland here, they are all PA guys, so I’m hoping with the Pa opener being today it won’t be too pressured!! Got in pretty clean, bumped something right when I stepped into the woods, and about 100 yards up wind of the stand( only way to access it) I was able to sneak past a bedded doe that didn’t seem to mind me whatsoever! In a new spot this morning, hung a camera here for a few weeks last year and had decent movement in early October. In between food and bedding so hopefully a big fat nanny doe steps out! Good luck out there this morning guys and gals!!!

I'm up. Same spot as last night. Not sure what the routine is up here yet, so morning hunt in what I thought would be evening. If I blank, I'll push s bit closer to some bedding. . Wind is good for that today and steady.

I second Adam on the forum family. Good folks all around and I'm glad to be a part of it. Now back to your regularly scheduled therapy.

Got a guy coming in from the road right into what I think is bedding… could be beneficial for me if he bumped anything out of there. Atleast he is on my right side, I’m expecting deer to come from the ag on my left

I’ll be walking out the door in about 10 minutes and should be set up 10 minutes after that.

Everything including my bow is hanging in the tree so it’ll be a quick, quiet set up.

Good luck everyone, and congratulations to @hunterman927 on the buck kill yesterday evening!

Legal light here, cloudy and foggy so it’s probably still 20 minutes till I would be able to shoot unless it’s super close

It's legal shooting light, just waiting for the deer to get their coffee and such.

Lots of red oak acorns falling this morning.

Almost hit a possum and a jogger this morning driving here. Not exactly sure what either of them were doing in the middle of a country road at 5:30am...they probably thought the same of me.
