Went out to move trail cam and found this guy. Probably only been dead for a couple days. Doesn’t look like it was shot. Guessing got spooked by something and got stuck. Tough way to go View attachment 178530
Hubby deserved dinner before 8 ,so no hunt. Field had 2 doe bothwith twins a hundred yrds up from blind. Then another deer jumping and running around above them. On our end of field up from the house were 3 huge doe and 1 yearling. All arrived after legal shooting. And way out of range to any set I wo I ld have had.
Well good sit. As I was climbing down from stand saw something move in bottom field edge about 50 yards and it was a good framed buck and a doe. It was last light so couldn’t confirm how big. I knew they were about to hit my thermals but they just turned around and didn’t even run or blow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My first year as a cop I was sent to a deer like that in a fence in a suburban neighborhood. Well I start walking close to it with another officer and I stopped. He looked at me and then I picked up a few sticks and threw them at the deer. He started laughing so hard when the deer obviously didn't move. I told him I aint walking up on no deer and getting kicked....he went back and told everyone on the squad I was chicken S and all. hahaha. Years later I taught him how to bow hunt. He was about 40 years old when he picked up bowhunting and now he is hooked.
not live, or from the stand, but this is the first time we've had one of these suckers on the property. Sumbeech tore the hell out of one of the quad trails. Burrows everywhere
was just talking with my buddy last week that backwoods deer have a helluva tough life. Everything is trying to kill them all the time. Weather. People. Cars. Wolves. Coyotes. Bobcats. Bears. Badgers. Bugs. Prions. Eagles. Fences. ...and now trees.
