Good luck to everyone who is out today. Shoot straight, may you have an easy blood trail if you are so lucky to have an opportunity. kill kill
I’m down. Didn’t see a deer. Oh well. Going for a five mile walk with my wife and a couple of the dogs.
I apologize for not responding to anyone yesterday. I found her pretty quickly as she only ran 35-40 yards. It just got so hot that I had to get her taken care of quickly and I just never got back online after I got her entered up in the contest. First pic is entry and second pic is exit… I’ll be back out in the morning for sure but maybe this evening if I get her ground up and stuck in the freezer. Good luck to y’all that’s going this evening!
I figured that since I hadn’t put a deer down for Elly May the Wonder Beagle to track I would take her with us for our walk. We only managed 4 miles before Elly May had enough. “Walk” wasn’t really the right word to describe it there at Big Spring.
Yeah, right. Since I’ve shot under two bucks already this year I can hear the song now: “Highway under the killzone”.
Back up in a tree. The same tree actually, despite the fact that nothing moved here this morning. I can’t hunt in the morning because we “have to get hay for the horses”. I hate horses.
I told my wife that I look at them and wonder if I could get a full pass through on one with my bow. She knows I’m kidding…..mostly.
Life just piles it on sometimes. Girlfriend’s grandpa passed last Thursday and now her mom has been in the hospital since Monday. She has inflammation on her brain causing her to have stroke like symptoms. The Mayo Clinic diagnosed her earlier this summer but she had another flare up on Monday. She could finally remember her name, DOB, and tell us where she was at today. Been taking care of their commercial chicken barn (40,000 chickens) after work. Got out 2 days ago but it’s been hard to find time to hunt. Maybe god will bless me with a large deer the next time I can get out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
