I had a deer like that. Think it was a 8 day cycle. Followed him all summer on a calendar. Like clock work he was on the camera within hours on the 8th day for over 3 months. It lined up perfectly with opening day. A storm came in and i decided to not sit there. Well he showed up in day light for 2 hours on my camera that evening. I was so pissed. I never got a pic after that day, no idea what happened to him.

No luck for me this morning, not a single deer seen, the private property I hunt is just so thick they could have been 50 yards away and I would never know, I usually don’t hunt it in the mornings, but that buck had me jazzed up. I got down around 9 and headed to the public land to do some scouting and hang a camera. Found a good spot I think I’ll sit on Saturday morning! Good luck out there evening killers

Something about being responsible and paying bills or something. Haven't quite figured it out, lol. Saving PTO days for later this month and early Nov.

Hey! I have internet again. I'll be semi live tonight. Cell service is still terrible and spotty, but I'm headed to a tree near me. Good luck out there.

Im not sure but if you don't go and you get another pic of him you will want to slit your wrist with a butter knife. I know i would. That deer is a jaw dropper

I’m up and reporting for duty, upon my entrance And my only entrance, there was 9 doe feeding 60 yds’down on an oak flat. So I did the responsible thing and threw rocks until they got weird and left. They went to where I was going to go. Sooooo, I just went rogue and snuck around to the next saddle looking for sign. I found a pile of fresh rubs both big and small. I hunted here years ago in the rut. The sign told me to setup so here I am! Swamp behind me oak ridge to left and right and a small water hole/drainage 15 yds to my right. Red and white oaks are raining down. Party on!

Made it in stand for the evening....was a really rough 100yd walk across the pasture

Unfortunately the wind has shifted into the exact wrong direction and it's warmer than I expected.

Not really, only stand hung for the year on this property. I've killed deer from this spot with the same wind conditions but I've gotten very lucky. Just wanted to scope it out, probably won't be back here until end of the month.

Up for the second sit of the year. Hunting the same property we have for my whole hunting career with one difference. We took the opportunity to purchase 69 acres of it. A lot of effort has gone into creating better deer habitat and it looks like it’s paying off judging by the number of deer using it. Now me or my dad just need to break it in properly and get a deer on the ground.

Back at it on a different farm. It’s a very hot and sunny 75f. Been getting does on camera here almost every evening. Let’s see. Good luck everyone.
