So this buck I’m after showed up on 9/9 , 9/17, 9/24 and today is 10/3. Does anyone believe in a “x” amount of days pattern? Seems like I get a pic every 7/8 days. He didn’t show yesterday which would be 7 days since last pic. I’m pretty sure I’m going after him tonight again, don’t know if there’s anything to it or I’m just over analyzing like always haha. He has been showing up 20/30 past shooting light. I have been starting to move closer to where I think he’s been bedding.

@Jezzy670 and I were getting bucks on trail camera regularly over the summer on a 16 day cycle, so I think there is something to it, just like annual patterns.

Yes! The buck I'm after has shown VERY similar behavior. I have cam video of him on 8/21, 8/27, 9/4, 9/11, 9/12, and 9/14. I can't explain the last three visits being so close, because it throws his original routine out of whack, but the first three times were about a week apart. I haven't gotten him on cam in the last two weeks though. I do believe my target buck only uses the funnel I'm hunting to get from point A to point B. I just don't know where A and B are, because of the sheer amount of acreage (2000) that make up the woods I hunt.

    That's a great looking buck you're after.

Good deal, I’m trying to connect some dots on this property. It’s a tough one to hunt, big valley with oaks on both sides. One side is more open and other is thick as heck. The middle is a swamp with a creek. Gonna throw a dart at it today and hope I guess right!

It's ironic that you asked about the "X amount of days pattern", because after my buck showed up those first three times, about a week apart, that's exactly what I was asking myself about this buck's routine. Even if you don't kill a given buck, it's still fun trying to figure them out. Now, I'm trying to figure why I haven't gotten him on cam in two weeks!

Food source change, acorns are dropping somewhere that pulled him off that travel pattern.

Yes I believe so. I actually talking with the wife last night mentioned I believe I have shot over a dozen doubles with my bow in my life. Maybe more but it's almost yearly for me.

Cameras have been showing activity most of today. Just bought another doe tag since I filled 2 antlerless tags. Good thing they are only 7.50

That's the only reason I could come up as well. Hopefully, I'll catch up with him in a few weeks when he's chasing the ladies.
