I'm in the stand that overlooks a swamp with bedding nearby. I'm hoping I catch them coming back from the corn on their way to bed. Good luck all. Be safe!

I have 5 doe hanging out 55 yrds over my left shoulder. Hoping all the traffic sends them my way
Last half hour 6 cars and trucks ,1 school bus stopping twice. Just lost sight of them.Oh well good intell. They were bedding down not far away in the standing rye. For the noise I made, still got in clean.

Maybe my plan down here worked. With nieghbor cutting a lot of his mature Norway I knew the deer would need more bedding.let my rye stand for food and tall cover. Around the chestnuts, peaches and apples. I then just took a harrow drag and drove paths through it. That worked great.
Then to my delight other neighbor finally moved his back hoe off the lane way they used to get to our land. I have two openings in the fence line.

I could have made it work on another prop, but I’m going after a couple specific bucks. I’m still in early season in Pa state wide opens 10/5. Plenty of time !!!

I'm literally sitting in an open " box blind " 7-8feet up and nested in a large group of bushes and vines.

Just had a group of 6 come in, does and fawns. They were chasing each other back and forth. I've seen fawns doing that but even the mommas were chasing each other. They chased around in front of me for about five minutes and went back the way they came

I kinda had a weird thing happen yesterday. There's a small piece of property about a mile from where I live. No one has lived there for many years. About a year ago the house that was on it burned down. I thought that was weird since no one has lived there in a very long time. I kept watching it and no work was ever done on the burned house. Yesterday I got to checking the tax records and just as I suspected, the taxes haven't been paid in many years. It is going in the tax sale in a few weeks. I tracked down the owner, who turns out is a very distant relative. I asked him if he wanted to sell it for the back taxes and a little more. He gave me some ridiculous price which I declined. So then I thought, well if he's not doing anything with it maybe he'll let me hunt it. He said yes! He told me he planned to pay the taxes in a couple of days, I don't believe him. I looked up all the properties he owns and there are four, all with unpaid taxes. So I think I'll visit the tax sale in two weeks to see if he did. But if not, I think I might just buy it.

Well that’s great, good find. I hope it works out for you and he pays and you can hunt or if it does go to sell you can get it for a reasonable price.
