    I lived in Texas for a bit in the early-mid '80's, went on a rattle snake round up with a buddy of mine, had a blast, caught several large rattlers ... all snakes caught were milked of their venom and it was put on ice or a portable fridge... all were caught using hooks and snares, handling them was very cautious ... no humans or snakes were harmed during the procedures ....

    Yep, Texas has those diamondbacks, which are more aggressive than the mostly docile timber rattlers.

    Same here. No pictures to speak of since Helene hit. It's like they all hunkered down and have moved very little.

    I ran into to a cottonmouth while scouting with @Jezzy670 last Sunday. I have snake boots, but never felt the need to wear them until that day.

    This past week was my worst for pics (2 cams) in the last month. Haven't seen the 8pt in two weeks. Crappy weather for over a week now.

    Didn’t see a single deer from the stand but almost ran over a fawn driving back.

    You may get your wish. My dad just texted me saying my stepmom just shot a 8 point. Heavier rain heading this way so we are going to go look for it soon.

    Busted at first light by a doe while I was trying to turn for a shot because she came in on my off side. I seem to have a knack for picking trees that serve as deer's direct true north.

    2 yearling fawns under me for better part of 30 mins. Got another yearling just came in

    She shot it right at first light and she isn’t a real good judge of antlers but she is happy. Ended up being a 7point and only went 60 yards.
