Pitter patter, as close to the big acorn tree that’s actually producing acorns, already seen two doe and small buck. Really wanted to be up further, but the wind won’t work if they cross the field
All cameras checked with new SD cards and new batteries. Moved all of them off field edges and into the property/pre rut/rut areas. Thankfully didn’t have to use the rifle on yogi. Found a few decent scrapes but no rubs. First time I’ve actually walked into the woods/property since spring. Why does a fall 83 degree blue bird sky day makes it feel like 100 degrees sometimes. I was soaked. Figure I take the new stand and hunt the corner of the beans or corn next week when it finally cools down. Almost a 20 degree drop on Tuesday. Good luck to whoever is getting out tonight! Time for a cold beer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Slow sit, but I did see a decent buck. He got up out of his bed about 80 yards away. This was about 30 minutes before dark. He just feeds on vegetation til dark. Only walked maybe 20 yards in that time. Very killable, but not what im looking for. About 100 inch 7 pt. Nice and tall with a chocolate rack. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I might try to hunt this thing and donate everything… such a large bear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just got done liking 3 pages of post, sorry if you had a crappy hunt to something and I liked it. I just got back from a 6hr pig roast. You can only imagine.
I can’t wait til Oct 10 so I can contribute real content to this thread. In til then I will like and make some comments I want BLOOD trails.
I get zero service in many areas that I hunt. I did not see anything yesterday evening. Was nice to enjoy the peace and quiet. I do really enjoy 1 sticking as well. Sat on a nice pinch on a ridge. Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I’m out doing some scouting. You’ve got to keep your eyes open around here. I decided not to interrupt his lunch.
So am I. He was huge. Id never seen a rattlesnake before today. About 45 minutes later I almost stepped on this one: Scared the crap out of me.
