We are back home. We climbed down after the weirdo left. Nit sure if I will hunt this evening or not. It is warming up and getting windy. I may take my other son out if he really wants to go. If not, I think I will not test my wife’s patience with an all day hunt opening weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Nothing for me but the basket 8. Took my county park sticks down. Headed to the farm this afternoon and tomorrow. Will be looking for a Buck, might shoot a Doe if it's right in my face.
Great conditions here temp and overall conditions wise. Work. Kiss it. Flung some arrows before work. Haha.
Or wearing orange, which is only required during a gun season. This WMA doesn’t have a gun season outside of the yourh weekend and the permit draw muzzleloader hunt, that hunt is still three weeks away. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yep, I always find it amusing when I see guys wearing orange during archery season, which isn't required. A bit of paranoia, I'm guessing. I can't ever recall a bowhunter being shot by another bowhunter.
I went to Autozone and they did a diagnostic. It gave an evap code. That’s what I was hoping for because we’ve had the same problem with the capless fuel fill on the Bronco. I went to a gas station, ran the nozzle in and out a few times with gas barely trickling out to clean it. Then I filled up and ran the nozzle in and out a few more times. When I started the truck the check engine light was gone.
I know this was youth weekend in NC. My oldest daughter and I won 3rd in the mixed doubles pickleball tournament. Power is supposed to be out till Sunday midnight.
There’s a lot of seeing nothing going on right now. There were seven of us hunting this morning and only one small spike was spotted. I really think this afternoon will be better, but overall today and tomorrow don’t look like good days at all.
I had to wear orange during the doe season because it was a all weapon. I'm not sure, so NYS guys correct me,but I think the youth hunt which is gun in our archery season requires everyone have some orange on.
Im up for the evening. Sitting over same marsh as last sit, just in different spot with better visibility. Took 1:30 to get in here and completely soaked from sweat. But im in a kill tree tonight. Will keep you posted. Good luck all! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I'm tied in, Buck stand at the farm, wind is good, can't smell me as they come of the hill and my scent washes over the top of them once they cross in front of me. Cloudy, 60's, no rain, yet. Tree umbrella is up, camera arm is hooked up and I'm ready to kill something with antlers. So here's hoping. Good luck everyone!
