The power of the woods is real. Man I've been real stressed lately about some stuff. Been very hard to even think about hunting. 2 hrs in today and I can feel some of that stress fading away. I needed this.
As soon as I just sent that pic a big mature doe was coming right to this pin oak. 30 and closing. Her fawn started sounding off. Over and over and the doe turned around. Hope they come back.
Tell ya what, an estrus/fawn bleat early season is killer for mature does. But have your bow on hand bc they come storming and will circle downwind. Killed a pile that way
I watched the doe in field they were down by us, actually right on edge of woods not far in front of blind. I see they were more interested in the hophorn droups than the alfalfa. Good thing, those hang on and we have a lot of them lining the field and in the woods. Opener is Tuesday.
It is good to be you. I hope kill a giant off there this year. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Grabbed a cam i had out for 7 weeks and it only took like twenty pictures over seven weeks. Cam went haywire. Dates and times all jacked up. Did get a couple decent bucks. I don't need a cam out there to know there is a lot of potential. Seen it for 2 seasons now. Found a big scrape on the way out tonight.
Been a week+ without a bear on camera until tonight. Need to bring my rifle with tomorrow to move cams, etc. Seems to be a very large bear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There would happen to be any houses for sale on your road is there? Man that’s awesome though! There’s a lot you’ll be able to do on 560 acres!
Good luck to those who are out this morning. I finally get to get out tomorrow for the season opener in Ohio.
