I got tired of relaxing so I geared up, went across the road and moved my climber to a tree that might work if the wind doesn’t shift. Im all set up. I haven’t gotten any deer pics in the afternoon/evening over here but you never know, and my gear will be in the tree already for the morning sit.
I really wish this guy would show up but he’s moving through early in the morning. Still, it is possible.
One thing has me puzzled, and that is the fact that I haven’t even seen a doe from the stand so far this year. I had some on camera earlier in the season, but nothing lately.
Question for anyone who might know: The morning of the 23rd s big bobcat walked in front of my camera. Since then I haven’t gotten a single deer pic. Does bobcat scent scare mature deer? I always have to remind myself that just because I don’t have pics doesn’t mean they aren’t moving through here. There is no defined trail on this area of the finger off the ridge.
I don't have any bobcats where I hunt but I would think that it wouldn't bother them anymore than a coyote would. I've had pics of yotes and five minutes later a deer would walk the same path. I mean they all live out there so I guess the deer would know how to avoid most of the predators. I dunno Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Not many bobcats in SW Pa by me, in SE Ohio there are a bunch and they are protected. Can’t say I ever saw them keep deer away tho. Saw 3 doe on top of those other two buck, had a fun sit!

Needless to say I didn’t see a thing. Took me a while to post. Two of my kids called me the last hour of daylight and I didn’t answer, of course, but I had to call them back when I got down. Hopefully something moves there in the morning
