Is that a white pine? I love white pines. Except one problem the pitch. The pitch seems to leak from everwhere and is a beouch to clean off your hunt clothes. I had to staple camo WP Clothe behind my back at my camp pine stand.

Another set done today 55 degrees and breezy made it enjoyable to move. There are 2 decent trails. 1 left to right about 18yds in front of the stand and 1 coming up from the creek off the left side. I think there’s a good one that is in that area, followed some big tracks last year in the snow and a guy that hunts the other side of the creek saw a bruiser over there. I put up 1 camera cross my fingers it takes some pic. It sure is handy having my son come along to help. 721B1815-D10E-4608-BA0A-F3315D44667D.jpeg D35644EE-C7B0-4223-B028-D2F671731512.jpeg 31D6F742-3868-49D5-8DD6-8881E12C163E.jpeg E6BE9235-EA41-45EC-A842-E46E9FB083D9.jpeg F7021F79-7950-4289-8A6D-3419686E073C.jpeg

I used to enjoy it but now it's just a chore that I dislike.

I guess I'm just getting lazy in my old age.

It's only 34-ish days until the 2025 Contest Sign Up Thread is posted.

Anyone else excited about it this year?

1st Bambie sighting, mom is "Grandma" at least 9 or 10yrs old. Actually, saw her get bred in back yard. Didn't think she was going to be able to give birth, she has really declined this year, hopefully she lives long enough to teach the young one. Shes been given a pass after she took in the 2 young of her sister after I shot her. Tough old lady, she used to rule the feeder, has scars across her face from fighting. Bambie .jpg

It was a battle but the kids and I got the stand up yesterday with the help of the 4wheeler. The tree is at the minimum for size so we have a few extra straps on it. Needed to tie a rope on it throw it over a branch and hook it to the 4 wheeler to lift it. Not sure I’ll be putting many more of these up. I did leave one ladder section off, I’m good at 15”. 489AFB28-3117-4017-B916-BA6E9B63C9D5.jpeg
