Little late, but tagged out in Indiana on the second to last day of season on Saturday with my bow. On the ground no blind. He went to the taxidermist cause i really liked that he had black wings, don’t see that every day.

Haven't decided yet. I thought about full strut on a pedestal but I got time to decide lol. I would do a flying mount but I already got one and they take up so much wall space.

here are the two full bird mounts I had done .. all the others are just fans w/beards .. I wont get any other full's done, they take up to much room. Even with deer, I'm going to euro's or just skull plates more so than full mounts ...

Go a stand put up over the weekend with my son. It’s a spot on my aunts that borders state land. Found some rubs and a big ground scrape 8757C31A-F39C-488F-9201-249FADAF4106.jpeg 74209CC0-8B6A-40AD-92A9-6A5887A52186.jpeg up there last year and quite a few doe. I think I’ll be in the action this year.

    Looks like a killa spot.
I am a invassive garlic weed nut case. It arrived in our area over a decade ago when the nieghbor did his first logging. It then spread to us. I can't control it everywhere on us. I have been successful to a point in areas that have natives I want to save. I every spring go out and hand pull theplant before it seeds. This takes me through areas I rarely walk. I discovered a great number of fresh travel areas in ths years pull. All in and around several blindsxand stands. Areas that were good bow years ago but switched to gun. It is now bback to bow ranges. A few new huge berry patches have established.

Temps dropped quick. Went back over a big island I scouted but never hunted last year. Lower temps should give me a few days of looking around before summer time temps are here for months.

Well she aint real cute, but there is a mountain bike and inflatable kayak that cost less than $200. Couple of my spots im hoping this saves me a couple miles of walking and or paddling.

It might be quite a show on the way out, if/when you’re successful…

yep. Dump bike, bring back sled or deer cart. Drink a Budweiser with 1000mg of Ibuprofen. Begin drag.

Any ideas on what to do with these harnesses that come with the Novix stands? I will not get in a tree with them. I prefer the Hunter Safety System harnesses.

Offer them to someone that doesn’t have or use a harness and buy a good one you will actually wear

Finally got to look over 2 properties that just opened this year. Only about 80 acres total but they are in the right spots and are remote.

It's humid. Bugs. Poison ivy. Crap.
