Shawn C...diddy- great job on the doe.

    Hick.erbilly- that's a heck of a late season buck!

I'm out on the last day of the Michigan deer season. Does only. Windy.

    Good luck team LFTS.

I’m back on stand in the same tree I was in four days ago. It’s 40 degrees warmer and there is still about 4” of snow on the ground.

Had to wait until some snow and ice melted to get back in here. The ice had bent pines and cedars across the road and the snow made it worse.

Seasons over and though still sick I shoveled today then took the Gator out. As per usual looks like a few bombs went off out there. I have some major clean up to do. That said, it was tracks I was looking for. Crazy crazy amount of movement EVERYWHERE Deer and fox mainly some huge deer tracks. Once I start feeling better, Doc appointment tomorrow morning, I'll take a bedding walk.
Man you guys are having a great late season

I’m back up in my stand. It’s a cold morning but it’s not too bad.

    I shot 2 last night.

I had some fawns and a doe come out and dropped her at 80 yards 40 minutes before dark. I saw some other fawns later. With 7 minutes left I had a doe coming out, but she turned around and never offered a shot. With 2 minutes left there were 8 deer out 247 yards. I've never shot a deer that far, but have practiced that shot. I dialed the scope in a squeezed the trigger. I warched her drop.

I had a quarter mile of dragging to do, gutted them, pulled across a creek and loaded them up. I was worn out. Took them to the processor. The roads were horrible with freezing rain. Got home after 9, ate tacos, watched the end of NFL, then went to sleep.

My season is over. I shot 11 does. The Bear creek ammo - shot 6 deer: dropped 4, 1 had a great blood trail, and 1 would have been tough to follow if in the woods and no snow. 3 with bow and 8 with 450.

    Onto ice fishing.

I'll keep cheering you guys on.

Lots of plans and treestands to move in the next couple of months.

    Bow season never ends! 1000012261.jpg

I’ve gotta see them to kill them and I saw nothing.

I got down at 9:30 and did some looking. I found a brand new spot with heavy trails that were used this morning. I’ll go there this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

This is a good looking spot but it’s the full moon. I just don’t have much confidence when the moon is full but anything can happen
