All set up in MD and ready to kill. Snuck in here without bumping anything, except one raccoon at about 10 yards! Had some doe on camera in here this morning and right at mid day. Good amount of tracks here right behind my cameras of course!!! I love getting to hunt in the snow, it rarely happens so I am pumped! Image1736536393.642662.jpg

You should be able to pick up movement pretty easily where you're located. Good luck!

Very thankful for the snow, it’s so thick in here when there isn’t snow I usually don’t see them until they are right up on me

That's how it is where I hunt. They're pretty much already in bow range by the time I see them.

I’m all settled in. Got out here a little later than I anticipated but the snow is supposed to start before dark. Hopefully that gets them on their feet.

I couldn’t hunt today but managed to get out to set some traps for yotes. I have a cell cam on the 2 traps where they been coming through about every other night. Hope to connect on at least one of them!

Nice! I have one of my cams in a spot where I get yote videos every season. I get most of them around the middle to end of February, where I often see them in pairs and sometimes actually mating. I guess that's why they're more active in my area at that time?

It’s been a good evening so far. I’ve seen 5 little bucks, a doe and 2 fawns.

    Good luck guys!

Lite snow tonight, then plan to hunt tomorrow evening. Want at least 1 more deer for the season.

Ended up seeing 14 doe, had an absolutely awesome sit. Saw the first one 150 yards away around 3:30 and ended up getting a shot on a big doe at 4:45, I must have rushed the shot or something. I got the shot on footage and looks like I just skimmed her back. No blood on the arrow but was able to find a drop at impact and after about 20 yards found some decent blood where she stopped, that shut off quick and turned to pin drops for the next couple hundred yards. Reviewed my camera film and just trimmed her back so atleast I know she will live on. Still sucks, hopefully be able to get out another time or two before the season ends

It happens. Sounds like she's no worse for wear. She's just a little smarter now.

After watching the video, she didn’t need to get any smarter, I didn’t even stop her and she ducked a good 5-6 inches. My shot went forwards, I probably rushed it because I didn’t stop her. If I put the cursor right where I should have been aiming she still might have ducked it enough to not hit the lungs! Smart deer for sure, I need to start shooting at the smaller ones! lol

22 degrees and got an additional 4” of snow. Seen 2 deer a half hour before shooting light but nothing since.

Good luck ! I may get out this afternoon for a doe. Hang in there ! I shot a pretty decent buck in the snow 2 days ago here in Ky. We don’t get that that chance here often.

There was about 6” when I got here yesterday and it’s still snowing. Getting close to a foot on the ground. I just had a fawn come by. Hopefully that’s a sign that they’re starting to move.
