    Just got on stand 20 minutes ago. About 3 - 4” of snow. If that wind would stop it would be perfect. Good luck if you’re out.

    I’m up. I made a move over to the thick, grassy valley we looked at a couple of days ago. I may not see anything but they’re here. The trails are unbelievable. There are so many I’m thinking I’ll have to be lucky to be covering the right one.

    The main trail on the old road is 20 yards to my right. A trail branches off and goes right by me. There is another trail 15 yards to my left.

    It’s thick here but I have shots out to 30 yards.

    I just saw my first deer, a spike. I’m hoping that 10 point that in here follows the same trail.

    Well, no deer sighted this afternoon.
    I’ll try again in the morning.

    To be fair, according to my solar/lunar app today WAS one of the suckiest days to hunt.

    In a few days the 3rd quarter moon will be here along with sub-freezing temps. That has real potential.

    Deer are moving this morning. I’ve seen a spike, 6 point, 2 does, 3 fawns and an unidentified 5 minutes after I got on stand in the dark.

    Camera showed last night that this guy made it thru. 2 1/2 yr old.
    Lots of Amish hunters that shoot everything. Good to see.

    I’ve been winded twice by does coming in from different directions.
