I found a DNR website that is keeping track of this. According to them, as of today, there have been 1004 reported dead deer. They have only tested 24 with 15 of those being positive. Allen County and Wabash County seem to be leading the state with 149 and 124 respectively. I'm hoping this goes away soon. The last time I remember an outbreak this big was in 2012 when we had extreme drought. Thing of it is, it's only been dry here for about the last 3-4 weeks. Up until two weeks ago I had to cut my grass every 4 days just to keep up with it. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
....sigh. Next dead deer I see here I want to be a grip and grin; this is getting G-D depressing. At least here in the upper MW this is looking like the last hot weekend of the year. Futurecast showing high temps dropping into low 70s starting Sunday, then dropping into 60s mid next week and beyond. Rain supposed to move through over the weekend/early next week too.
Couldn't get an update to load earlier and I'm back at the house with another blank sit. Packing that stand up and moving it tomorrowwww....
This very warm weather has been keeping me out of the woods. Supposed to be almost 95 tomorrow. Not ideal. Will give it a few days until the cooler weather pushes in.
3 raccoon seen that's it. I left right at legal sun set to do chicken, Walk across street and there are 3 doe just coming off neighbors santuary to cross over road to alfalfa. 50 yrds away. Get to coop and there sits the biggest wild rabbit I've ever seen. Oct 1 I'll be rabibit hunting when not bowhunting.
Not with EHD or BT, especially in Northern climates. For some reason, more survive in the South...presumably they have built up some resistance. There was a huge kill off around 2012 at Milk River with a lot of coverage. Seems like they lost near 95%.
Well a semi bright spot, my hunting buddy (old member from here bz_711) got an elk down. This afternoon in Colorado. Unfortunately he was solo, as I didn't have the PTO to support him this year with my new job. "...Zoleo here. Bull down tip top of >redacted< gulch... unreal hunt story... big bull with 11 cows"... "I better get to work"
I am having an issue with my tru Fire release. The calipers will NOT hold my d loop back. I punched myself in the mouth the other day twice , 2 X In a row. I contacted Feradyne outdoors, and they are sending me a new release. While that was going on I pulled out my back up release and was practicing with it. The same release an Edge. Now this one is acting up. The opposite of the issue before This one will not fire. I attempted to reset the set screw. On both releases. Now I have contact Feradyne outdoors again. china @&*$ looking at the cobra release. Terrain ( Made in USA) Anyone else have any issues with Tru fire or cobra?
I had a problem once, with a Trufire...around the time I was messing with the set screw. not lying! Was trying to adjust it to be more sensitive. I eventually undid and haven't messed with it since.
I went to the B3 Hawk Hook (flat strap) and never looked back for my wrist strap .... Still have by Boss X for a 4 finger caliper if I want to use it, but the arrows impact differently than the wrist strap cause I need a different anchor with it and I'm not changing a damn thing on the SR350 ... Id rather hunt with a wrist strap as it is ..
