I saw 3 antlerless 75 yards away about 15 minutes before the end of legal and that was it for me

Up and waiting. It’s a clear night with almost a full moon and I could see a deer at 20yds easy. Sunrise is not for another 1:15. Good luck everyone!!!

I so wanted to go out this morning, had alarm all set. Then daughter called at 12:30a.m.. She's driving back alone, save her dog and going straight through. Denver area to Corning area NY. I had called her at 2pm warning of bad weather straight through. Mind you, driving a brand new 2025 SUV. Well, horrible rains and no rest stops open. This, she had on way down as well. A few states with rest stops closed across the state. WTH around Holidays? Not to mention truck drivers.
So she's had a list of ppl she's been calling as touch stones and stimulators to stay awake.. a 30 min. to a rest stop ended in 21/2 hrs and 2 shut down. Finally an off ramp with open restaurant and gas.
Ask me if I got back to sleep..yes at 5a.m. after I turned alarm off...my eyes are burning I'm so tired.
She did sleep in parking lot near open Arby's under lights. Still down south

My fault really, like mother like daughter.........not 20 any more not even 30

    Anyway I'll try tonight.

The only pictures of him since my encounter. The one coming on the land is about 75yds down the hill from where I’m sat/almost got him. The other is him leaving the land about 150yds from where I’m sat.

Wow! That guy has some tall tines. He belongs on your wall for all the effort you've put in! :tu: Don't you love it when a buck goes past one cam, then past another? Gives a good idea of his travel route.

It’s been raining here the past two days but the rain stopped and I’m back on stand.

It’s 65 degrees but it feels so much warmer. I really don’t expect to see anything this afternoon but my gear will be set up for the morning.

Well, I have mixed emotions about this, but my shoulder is getting worse. Saturday I went and got something that will let me finish the season.

It sure feels strange looking over and seeing it.

Is that the Wicked Ridge M1? I hope your shoulder issue levels off for you.

Ten Point makes the Wicked Ridge M1. It's a great CB.

Trust me, it takes a while to accept it. Even tried taking my Mathew’s down to 50 lbs after the accident and 2 surgeries. The pain on draw was unbearable, but the crossbow kept me in the game.

It does take some getting used to, but having it keep you in the game is what counts.

It’s the TenPoint M1. It was on sale so I got it instead of the Wicked Ridge. Just built a little better I guess. I don’t know.

I haven’t given up completely. Some days it’s not so bad and then some days, like today, it’s painful just to reach over and pick up my coffee cup.

I’ll seek medical attention after I finally decide to pull the plug on the season.

I know without a doubt that it will require surgery. I can feel something loose in the joint. Sometimes it catches and I actually yell out in pain.

I just hope you don't have to go through what I went through after I had a complete tear of my rotator cuff. It took 9 months to get back to normal after surgery. Good as new though.

Just don’t wait too long and cause more damage. Either way it doesn’t stop the adrenaline rush we feel when the time is at hand.

I had to use one for 2-3yrs when I tore my rotator cuff. I personally hated hunting out of a tree with it, but it kept me archery hunting, which is a part of me so I accepted it. After a few years my shoulder became strong enough again that I could draw my compound at 60lbs and I've been using it ever since. Keep the faith.
