Other than being a smoker a before kids were born DIL, believe me, doesn't have any of those other causations. Now Hubby and others were /are carpenters and workers in general. Me I got the Dupuytren’s contractors and arthritis from my work.

No hunt tonight I chose comfort food making ( French onion ) and putting up and decorating the tree. Will wrap some gifts tonight hope to hunt in morning . The tree kicked my butt, actually knees and lower back...lol

Saw 3 squirrels (1 at 2’), 8 turkeys, 5 deer driving to the hunt (1 at 5 yds). 0 deer in the woods.

Fun day, all the same. Win 30-30 May be lighter than my Ruger carbine.

I'm fairly certain she didn't run chainsaws for 30 years.

Nothing for me today. Didn't see any deer. That will do it for this year's VT seasons. 8pt archery Buck and a Muzzy Doe. Will be headed to NJ at the end of the month and then a couple times in January, so still few more chances for another Buck. Keep on hunting.

A classic deer rifle! Very nice stock design. Did you do that yourself?

When I started deer hunting back in the mid 70's, a spike with antlers 3" or longer was a legal buck in Pa. Antler restrictions were the best move the PGC ever made!

Shot a doe, but couldn't recover because the neighbor will NOT allow.

    Moving on.

Should have made a better shot.

That’s ridiculous that someone wouldn’t let you recover a deer. What a pecker

32 degrees and raining. Supposed to rain for 2 days. I don’t know if they will be moving but I’m still heading out in a few minutes. Good luck.

Ok heading in. Had 2 days off with the heavy rain we had. Still got a very light mist of rain but that’s ok. Going to be warm the next few days up to mid 50s but supposed to be cloudy so that should help. Good luck everyone!!

Had plans to hit the woods, stepped out and wind took my breath away. Yah, that is a absolute no go in our woods, especially in the dark.
I'm watching the trees " in a blender" motion as I type.
    Good luck guys

I totally agree! I can understand a property owner being anti-hunting and posting their property accordingly. But, what I can't understand is them not allowing someone to come onto their property to recover a deer that crossed the lines, so that deer isn't wasted if it was a fatal shot, or it suffering if it wasn't. People are strange.

I saw a little 6 point 30 minutes ago. Within shooting distance but not what I’m looking for. There’s a decent 10 point in here somewhere.
