What was that?!!! Lol Ok I was having a battle with two aggressive mice at the time of typing, armed only with a half 3 pt rack that is in blind. It was no wind, and snorting on nieghbors. Must have been hunting yote because I heard it a bit later farther into their place snorting again. They are a no doe property. Heard a gobble near by. Rodents have my head on a swivel. No rain for 2 wks and a breeze last night . Woods floor is crunchy.
Sorry to hear about the bucks Holt and LC. Gotta get back out there and redeem yourselves!!! The season is young. I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. This weekend is MI early doe season. I'm only hunting Saturday morning and I'll be hunting with my bow. Our archery season opens up Oct. 1st. This is my last year of teaching...and this is the first time I am taking the opening day of archery off. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it.
Heading back, just the snorts heard and again toward the middle of their land. Army of chippers and squirrel. One raccoon climbing a tree near by. Neighbors 100 acre sanctuary is getting tough to beat. Especially since they relayed how ticked they are about the doe slaughter that happened a few years ago. I do not blame them, pretty sure the doe will be, hhmmm, like fine grain fed beef. If we had any meat in the freezer I wouldn't be out here myself. I have a doe tag for camp I hope to fill during regular season . No rain until Monday then they say a solid week of it. I need to get a few things done before that.
Getting back into a consistent shooting routine. If I have late work I'm going to stop by the outdoor archery range and shoot before work.
I really wanted to go let Elly May track that buck this morning but I woke up and I am sick as a dog. I’ve been throwing up and I feel so bad that I just don’t care about it. Sure hope it passes quickly because with the wife gone I have a lot of chores that need to be done.
I hope you feel better soon. My wife has been down since Sunday with covid. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
