Thanks a lot for the replies. It’s been 5 hours now. Here in a bit we may go see what the trail looks like. My wife shoots a conservative amount of powder so it ain’t packing a lot of punch. I’d be surprised if we have an exit wound as he is a big boy.
Just finished yet another 4 ," of snow shoveling, still snowing. 153 pics last night ,just one 4,:30 . fawn. That said a ton of deer doe, fawn, and buck. Lots of shooting today but these guys were on their feet last night. These are screen shots so again sorry on quality.
Haven't seen any deer or bear. Found a couple buccees scrapes and somebody's estrus wick...decisions decision. Sit for the evening or get the early start for home...?
Just missed a doe with the rifle. Shot over, I had a stand off with one small doe a second was feeding behind her then a decent one behind that one. Feeding on briars. Moved farther down the bench and still have 2 hrs left to redeem myself.
All set 2hrs 7 mins. Send me luck guys I'm tired and need a doe. Preferably way before the season end. Still snowing. BTW This week,7 different mature big 8pts. Makes me excited for next year.
All setup for the evening saw a 4 pt trailing a doe this morning moved to a different spot this evening see what happens good luck everyone Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It just makes me laugh....maybe I'll lose my Scout stress weight. Speaking of stress, They are up in the sanctuary just a screaming, hoopin and hollering. So much for this hunt. Oh well gets me out of the house and away from the Oldman. Yes he's a miserable old codger today. Though he did say thanks for shoveling.
Decided to get up in my stand for the last hour instead of sitting on that ground. Hoping some deer come back around from my miss almost 2hrs ago.
I’m back in a tree after taking a couple sits off to beat myself up. I moved to yet another brand new spot. The other place was thick but this spot is insanely thick. I do have shots at a very heavily used trail and I can see a road intersection. I’d like to figure out how/when they are moving here. Here we go. I hear one on the other side of the road.
