My doe was still warm this morning. She hadn't been dead long. I felt like a jerk she suffered all night.
Headed out in a little bit to hunt our first day of Michigan "muzzle loader" season. In the southern portion of the state we can use any legal firearm. Good luck everyone. Dang Johnny...she's probably around there...good luck
They go into shock I doubt ,as long as she was bedded, there was much suffering. A slow fading as her body shut down
I'm giving it another night. For one thing shoveling 2 hundred yard drives , one a few times the last few days has my arthritis screaming at me. That and it is snowing pretty good right now.. if they show early tonight so be it. No disturbance will get them back for last two day. I then have around 2 wks of bow again Good luck guys
Well, the important thing is you did recover her and that meat won't go to waste. Some recoveries are more simple than others. Again, congrats!
Shooting time was 536. They came out at 530. One doe finally stopped to eat her last mouthful of corn. Dropped her at 170 yards. Sorry pics were sucky. Here's the best...at the processor's.
