Didn’t see anything yesterday unless you count 4 does out in the field as I was walking out. It’s going to be a real cold one today. It’s 18f with a wind chill putting it at 6f!! With a high of 26f. Yesterday it was up to 48f. It’s been winds up to 20mph yesterday, last night and right now but it slowing down through out the day down to 8mph by the end of the day. I’m hoping that and the temp drop might make them get on there feet a little earlier. Good luck everyone!!!

So checked cam after shoveling a few inches of snow out of drive, turn around and mailbox . Even the plow hadn't shown yet, as I'm sure they were waiting for the storm to pass with these high winds. All set for delivery people.
I am glad I didn't waste my time with a sit last night or this a.m. zero day deer and ZERO DOE AT ALL.
It was buckapalooza starting at 11pm till 5 a. m.. 4 pts , spikes, a nice wide half rack 8pt.. Another short tined wide 8pt then to my delight the big tall tined 10 pt. I'm giving those doe another night , doe around here have long memories. That's a fact all my night pics of them standing and literally look up at ladder stands proves that.
Besides these Howling winds will have them on edge big time.

I’m up for the afternoon in a spot where I don’t expect to kill a deer.

I’ve been hunting a spot that the deer are traveling through and I’m trying to figure out where they are coming from.

This spot is crazy thick so one would have to be within 20 yards for a shot but I can see a good way. More importantly, it’s dry and I could probably hear a leaf rustle when a squirrel farts,

I just refuse to stomp the spot up looking for trails.

I have plenty of time to figure them out.

Another sit with no sightings. Took my sticks and platform down. Moved my camera. Not hunting again more than likely until Monday. Them I have 6 days to get it done until the season is over.

I suck. Arrow straight guts. High angle one lung and out opposite guts. Changed my work hrs tomorrow to the afternoon. Be back in the morning. Not sure what I did to tick off the deer gods this season.
