I’m live from taking the trash out and it’s cold out there this morning. Good luck!

That's funny! It must be frustrating though, because that's a really nice buck. At least you know he's still in your area. :tu:

It’s super frustrating!! I’ve got him down to about 500yds of fence line he crosses mostly at night but about once every 10days he crosses in the mostly in morning (daylight, going off the land). I have a map I put together where all my cameras are and next to each one I put the time, date, direction of travel and wind. Just trying to get any kind of pattern. Based on all the pictures I do have I’ve got an idea where he is bedded on the other property but that don’t help me much.

So I went out to check plot , never put card back in cam yesterday. That's done and the plot had just 2, not too old tracks both huge.
Now I had some limb clean up to do if I hunt that stand again and got to work cleaning up shooting lanes. To be honest in doing that I took a better look at the shooting lane on doe last night. Wow ! How that slug made it to under her is way beyond me. I knew it was a tight opening not an issue, but had zero clue as to just how many little limbs were between us. Won't forget binos again!
Not sure if I should rest it a day or 2 or try again tonight before the storms arrival
    Your thoughts?
I'm feeling a tad lucky because the bolt I lost when I shot my fall turkey was found when clearing a shooting lane. That passed though the bird then continued all the way across the plot hitting a rotted log deep in the berry patch lining the woods. It was barely in the wood and in great shape. That was at least a 15 dollar find.,,,lol.

Definitely try tonight. I killed my biggest rifle buck 300yds away from where my friend was pulling his deer out of a ditch with his sxs. I’ve also put up countless ladder stands and hunted them the same day and seen loads of deer.

My new Scentlok heated vest showed up today.

Looks like they’ve addressed my biggest concern which was the flimsy plastic USB plug that was on the old one. If you forgot to unplug it before you strapped on a pack you could break it. Trust me, I know.

They’ve replaced it with a more robust metal USB plug.

I’m not sure if I want to try it out tomorrow afternoon and Thursday morning or not. It’s supposed to drop to 19 degrees Thursday morning. If there is no wind in the forecast I may try it but if it’s supposed to be windy then forget it.

So I took a hot soak then decided I needed to go get some milk and a couple of things at the Dollar General down the hill. Got my stuff waited in line go to move forward and went down like a tossed sack of taters. OMG How embarrassing!!!! Lol
I dang near tipped over a display rack. I stepped on to the back wheel of my cart and all hell broke loose. It twisted my foot that took out my knee and I had nothing to stop my going down. In the moment I felt myself slamming back against the free standing rack and things started to fall. I instantly thrusted my fall foreward to avoid that disaster. All this as I'm calling out WTH! and laughing out loud. Poor employees were on me in an instant asking if I was alright and can I get up. I'm laughing saying fine, I'm proof bumbles don't bounce! Appologized for scaring everyone. Stated I'm usually better at leaving my clumsiness at home....lol nope never got out to hunt.

I just got a chance to play with the new heated vest a bit. They fixed another issue I hated, and that was the fact that it would shut off every 45 minutes and you had to hit the power button on the battery pack to get it to work again. Now it works like you would assume it would.

They also reduced the profile of the power button so it doesn't protrude out a quarter inch. It also looks like the power light isn't as bright as it was.

I'm kinda looking forward to trying it.

Awesome, now that you have the updated version of the vest. You're good to go!

LC you need to check out the warmer suits from Code of Silence. Im dead serious. I bought the mid season stuff and wore it in the 26degree snow we had few days ago for 9 hrs and was good to go. They say the warmest suit dont even try to put on until you get to your stand or you will catch on fire and burn alive.
