Clouded over and pretty dull out .Zero wind ,dead quiet. I had opened the window yesterday so they'd be use to it. Seemed they gave 2 shakes. In all blk and black faced. I'm not sure how close they are coming in. I do know it is from both sides and down lane way infront. Hoping early before it gets too cold. Watch zero show..lol
Back out for the afternoon. Mostly doing recon for wife who will be out a couple evenings this week. That being said if a big doe gives me a shot I may take it. I want to see what this 350 legend can do. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's the rifle I bought this past summer now that rifles are legal in Indiana. I've passed several smaller bucks that I probably should have killed just to see how well it shot at a live target Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I had 270 hours in the woods this season, I'm pretty sure you've topped that! You're a real threat to the deer population.
It’s fun to shoot. If it has good knock down at reasonable range I’ll be happy. I sighted in with Winchester power point 180gr. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Same exact ammo I picked. I sighted in at 100yds as best I could. I used a rest but I have essential tremor and sometimes I zig when I should zag! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Not so much this season. Just about everything that could go wrong has gone wrong this season but I keep on trying.
Just had a spike and a tall 6p looking for me after I just rattled. Poor little things, they were running all over trying to find the fight.
I was thinking of this post today. Based on some of the stuff I'm dealing with I tried to kill a good buck so bad bc I believed it may help some with the issues. That mindframe ripped the fun from my season and once that mindframe clicked over it wouldn't stop. Never again will I hunt to try and mask pain. Losing strategy. I'm locked back in until the last day of the season. Will hunt for fun and enjoyment. Good post Early!
I’m out nothing else for me , however some must have been an awful shot , I heard this gun go off not kidding about 15 shots. Not in a row but about 4/5 shots at a time. Must have been on a field edge and just opened up and kept shooting. I said to myself. “ dude just give up”. “You didn’t hit it”
Couple that made it through the gun season Sent from my SM-S928U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well I held out until the last second 5:11. Pretty darn dark actually. I put phone down and stand to leave. Bend down to grab gun and 30 yrds out broad side is a huge doe . Look at phone 5:12.. go to leave and behind and left of blind a bunch of snorts. Peek around blind and 5 deer are standing behind doe. I had to leave so just stepped out. ...lol Ps My comfort food french onion came in handy
Sara and I were out in a ground blind. The Turnip plot is all torn up. Mostly nocturnal but we gave it a shot. Might sit one or two more times before Muzzy starts Saturday.
Sorry I couldn't post last night. I've been playing cat and mouse with this buck for the past 3 weeks but couldn't connect. I set my day up on this spot a 1/2 mile away from my spot and he connected last night. He'll be 80 in April and I'm so glad to have him and enjoy the passion we share together. He made a perfect double lung shot.
