I understand how you feel. This is only the 3rd time seeing him in person, the other 2x he crossed a field about 100yds away. I’ve also had him on camera 4x during daylight each time I was in the wrong stand . Now I sit the same stand since this one he has shown up 2 of the 4x. It’s definitely a waiting game. I’m at about 40 days dark/dark so far, about 480hrs. I have 11 cameras over about 600yds of fence line trying to crack him but he beds on the other property. This is my 1st time targeting a specific buck and I have to say I’m loving it but it sure is a grind!!! Just sucks there is nothing more I can do. These are his sheds from last year that I use to rattle, I would love to kill him coming in to his own antlers. Good luck & I hope he survives it!!

Nice sheds, that dudes got some mass. Chasing ghosts takes a toll on you. Good luck to you guys.

Just finished setting the blind on greenfield. Ran two off it driving the lane going in around lunch time. Small 6 point and yearling doe.

Should have a good evening hunt tomorrow if the winds stay on forecast.

Thank you! I was going to say, if I killed the buck that owned those rattling antlers, he'd be on my wall. :tu: The time you've put in, that number of dark to darks, is to be commended. That's serious dedication!
I have never been so determined to kill one specific buck and let others walk, than I have been this season. I have probably 7 or 8 videos of my target, all but one were under the cover of darkness though. Big bucks are smart bucks, and they know the game well. Best of luck to you!

Set up for the afternoon. Already moved once. Didn’t want to be too close to a rifle hunter.

I’ve been up for about 45 minutes. Snow squall on the way in. I’m sure not liking these winds. Hopefully they fall off soon. Good luck if you’re out.

Son and I are in the blind and set up for an afternoon hunt. Bucks only. I was lazy and instead of the cap lock I just grabbed the 7mm/08.

Set up for the afternoon 50 yards back in the woods off a public land food plot. Dry lake bed turned CRP 100 yards south with a SW wind. I am up a tree in the SW corner where an old inlet pinches movement down. My son is sitting about 100 yards away on the SE corner on a creek crossing with deadfall.

Those 3 deer went back into the thick stuff, have about another hour. Need a buck to follow them.

Tomorrow I will be back out as part of the Orange Army. I’ll have my REM 300 ultra mag. Gonna save one doe tag for 2 nd archery season. That starts 12/26/24.

I hope you don't have to deal with feet of snow. Seems like a realistic possibility for that region.

Had an exciting last 15 minutes. The big 8 I missed followed a doe into the food plot along with smaller 8 point that was probably 115”. The big one is pushing P & Y as an 8.

I had at him 65 and almost grunted him in, but that doe has to be close to being in heat. He wouldn’t let her get more than 50 yards away. At one point, the doe was 30 yards from Easton with the buck right behind her, but they had him pegged where he was sitting on the ground. They eventually worked off right as we lost light.
