I agree. I dont think its possible for any gut shot deer to survive.

    Bring that 2nd shirt?

I do the same thing. Hat and stretch fit face mask up over my hat. Then a hood if they are really bad. I still get bit right at the corner of my eyes. Dont know how I dont feel them. They are sneaky

I had some, but ran out. Really need to get some more. I picked hundreds of seed ticks off me today. I felt like a monkey.

Oh look, the Missouri boys are twinsies! Is this what middle-aged hunters do, coordinate their hunting outfits like middle school girls?

True, but your conversation was going in a direction that was a half step away from which bug spray smelled the most like a perfume and if a mask could be worn in place of make up.

I have to say I've done that twice, the deer went 30 yrds and tipped over. Once when I forgot to sand one knock. When I shot the knock remained on the string. It was a center shot but went way left. The second was a premature trigger release. Both times that main artery was sliced. Once in a blue moon I get lucky.

Holt good luck, it's hunting stuff happen

Dear Lord that had a lot of fixes ..lol

Tonight Was no hunt just sit and observe. There must be a good buck on the hill because 3x's today and night I had stare downs with guys stopping their trucks. Once along our place, we own both sides of road and two just off drive checking farm field.

I sat in a hedge row up from inside corner blind. Watched several deer just at dark filter out 90 or so ft up from blind. From trails they would have walked within shooting distance on our place.
Scout gets his bladder scanned tomorrow morning. So I had no desire to deal with a deer processing tonight, older I get longer it takes and it's dang hot out.
I'm going to set the hanging pole up tomorrow and drape it in the blue berry bug netting I hate flies and yellow jackets are NASTY around a fresh kill

My sit went exactly as expected: No deer sighted. I did see the new neighbor sneak into a ground blind 80 yards away about 45 minutes before dark.

Evidently he doesn’t hunt much.

The turtle was the highlight of the sit, and that’s depressing.

    I expect better tomorrow morning.

Just a reminder, I am considerably past middle age while you are quickly approaching it. Just thought I’d point that out.
