The day before yesterday I tried to shoot my V3 but my injured right shoulder wouldn’t let me do it. I did manage to shoot one arrow with it but the pain was just too much. I dusted off my old Heli-m and took it out. Being a solo cam bow with a very smooth draw set at 60 pounds I can shoot it. I had put the wrong sight tape on the Spot Hogg sight so I ended up shooting it about 30 times to get it dialed in. Oh, it hurts to shoot it but the pain is bearable. I need to replace the felt on the QAD flipper and put my Nocturnals in the arrows and I’ll be ready to try bowhunting again. I guess the key word there is “try”. I may get out this afternoon to give it a shot.
Got a knee brace at CVS. Food, family and festivities today. Vitamin I tomorrow and either a run up to the mountains with the bow or a sit with a rifle closer to home. The wind will help make the call.
No hunting for me today. I got voted head fry cook for Turkey day lunch. Since I am the cook I get choose the menu. I plan to deep fry wild turkey breast nuggets, Cajun vension tenderloin bites and and chicken fingers. There will be slaw, tater salad, raw veggies and dip and strawberry cheese cake for dessert. Not your traditional meal, but one I think is perfect for a change of pace.

Prednisone is solid gold for me. I must have a lot of pain and swelling in my body bc everytime I take it I feel like a 1000lb gorilla without pain. Ha
