Tomorrow morning I'm going right to where I heard those two deer walk this morning. There is a small thicket 200 yds from where I was hunting today. Its about as far away from hunting pressure as a buck could get. Heck with it, I'm going to sit right in it. Boom or bust.

I got a video last night from one of my cameras there were 2 bears in my climbing stand I think they may have ripped the seat out and that would suck I just put that hazmore in a couple weeks ago but ran across a bunch of fresh sign at my ladder stand figured I’d better set here till dark check my stand tomorrow if I knew how I’d put the video of the bear in the stand up it’s pretty funny

Been in stand for about an hour
Last night had a doe and a fawn within 10 yards but this spot is bucks only per owner.
I saw a buck about 100 or so out walking around head down tail up and super methodical as if trailing a doe.
Got a Pic of a buck I'd shoot at this spot at 0530.
So well see, got about an hour before things normally kick off

Nothing again, but my camera at my other stand about 150 yards away was sending pictures of a few does.

Nothing for me tonight besides a owl, woodpecker and a mouse.

Took a shot where i maybe should have been more patient a bit ago, can't tell if I even hit him.
Either high liver or clean miss, waiting a bit longer than will check for blood where my red nock is glowing.

Initially he bound a bit then just stopped. After a while he slowly walked 10 yards and stopped, then waited then slowly walked until I lost sight.
After a bit I heard a commotion, hopefully him dying or a racoon making a ruckus

Kind of sounds like a gut shot. Can be a quick kill, but the arrow should tell the story better. If liver or guts, definitely give it lots of time.

Appears to be a clean miss...
Fletchings all clean, arrow shaft clean etc.
When I got down to where deer was there was a lot of those tiny viney branches that I couldn't see when I shot.

Seeing an owl is very cool. I've heard them many times, either before first light or after dark, but never seen one until this season. It made the hunt that day.

Driving to the farm. It’s 28f with a high of 34f. Yesterday was terrible for movement, let’s hope today is a little better. Good luck everyone.
