Just checked the weather. About mid week next week the weather is gonna turn real cold for an extended time. Been awhile since I've seen late Nov and early Dec temps that low.
I was just sitting here thinking of getting down, when I see some movement in some thick stuff. Five does pop out of there and paraded by my stand at 10yds. Unfortunately, no horns. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Yeah I’ll be ice fishing in no time. Teens and 20s for highs end of next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m out, nothing else after the fawns except for 2 turkeys. Was kinda surprised because there’s usually 5-6 that come through all at the same time.
Lunch...and made some changes...wind is crap. Chris, Before the day is over I may end up hunting the back yard.
Ziltch for me this morning. Nothing but squirrels and birds. Very strange, two morning sits with no deer seen. Very odd. Be back out around 1400. Think I'm gonna ground hunt, where I've seen deer movement off in the distance.
Spotted one doe on the way out I couldn’t get the drop on her. Home for lunch and debating on the evening.

Son has told everyone I got the buck, which got ppl telling how the 12 was seen at sanctuary at 4:30 yesterday. I went back and checked my post. I said" someone needed target practice up on sanctuary land." LOL 4: 29 I posted that. I truly hope they had clean misses. My buck was seen on farm behind us earlier. I checked tracks this morning there was a large deer off cam and near kill so the bucks are crossing us. Son's hunting tonight hoping for more luck seeing he's being hunted hard on 3 sides of us and I've stayed off our land.
I’m set up for the afternoon trying to fill my remaining firearms antlerless tag. If I can drop one I’ll be taking a mandatory break until archery season opens on Wednesday. It still remains to be seen whether or not I can actually draw my bow with my jacked up shoulder. I’m going to try drawing my 60# Heli-m. It’s lower poundage and has a very smooth draw.
