I knew that was a waste of time… they are saying arthritis… So why have I not had ANY pain until a week ago and it increased daily .. still could hunt or work.. then this morning it goes from a 5 to a 9 in pain in a second… They want me to do PT, ice and compression.. I can’t stand doctors.. I fell off the Carnivore wagon about the same time the pain started.. back on it today.. let’s see if that helps Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have arthritis n my right knee. Sometimes it bothers me, sometimes it doesn’t. The most noticeable issue is it buckles a lot. Eventually have to have knee replaced. Just holding out as long as I can. I am 53, and I need a shoulder and knee replacement. Getting old blows
Back in Ohio for an afternoon sit. Light rain and lots of wind. I’ve seen a spike and 2 fawns so far. Good luck if you’re out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Speaking of knees I beat my rt knee big time shoveling not to mention the rest of me. But here I sit. Closest blind. Yes the garden blind all other are a hike in Deep wet snow. Got soaked just getting here. At this point I'll take anything that shows up. I couldn't even buy a 48cent per pound turkey because there's no room in any of my 4 freezers. Frig Quartered then the jerky starts.
Glad you got a diagnosis, sorry it wasn't to your liking...I've been dealing with arthritis for a while and keto/carnivore should help some...some dairy and sugar seem to cause me some inflammation. Glad I went all in on Ibuprophen futures. Fwiw- once you get the inflammation down, my son the PA says there is a saying 'motion is the lotion' (e.g. Low impact exercise)...
Sorry you didn't get more info Tony. I'm out. In a blind. Middle of picked corn. More of a harvest situation than hunting...I think. Slight chance of killing big buck. Good luck ya'll.
I was gonna make a joke earlier but refrained... Hey doc what's wrong with me? Age and the cold weather....the end
It hasn't let up all day, that said pack is getting smaller as it turns to slush.making getting through it tough. Lost a few trees, half tree and limbs. Helped me out in a few instances. Someone needed target practice in the santuary .shot pause and 3 more.they are a no doe piece so at least one buck gone.hope they are pushing deer this way .Fogs rolling in.
Around two years ago I shot a 40 target 3d shoot, probably the 5th of that season. There was no "ah ha" moment or anything, but the next day my drawing arm shoulder was very sore. It would not get better and every time a drew a bow it would give me a lance of pain. I didn't draw a bow for a solid two months and it didn't make a difference. I have been doing some low impact (Hinge Health) exercises for my right shoulder ever since. Their motto is "movement is medicine". I'm a firm believer. Whatever is wrong with my shoulder, it will not heal up on its own. As long as I do the exercises about three times a week I have no pain, and most importantly, no discomfort when drawing a bow. If I slack off on doing them, then my shoulder will go back to aching within a couple weeks. It is keeping me shooting a vertical bow and from having to see a Dr. and possibly finding out I need surgery. Going to keep doing them until it doesn't help anymore. They are very low impact exercises, basically range of motion and light resistance bands. A lot of the exercises also work the surrounding muscles to help support the smaller shoulder muscles. It has made a night and day difference for me.
Not my words, but a body in motion tends to stay in motion, a body at rest tends to stay at rest. I'm a believer in this philosophy, for the most part.
