Sorry I missed this when you posted it. On the 27th I started a horse project that involved fencing in 2 acres here in these rocky Ozark hills, building a horse shelter and underbrushing/clearing small trees from about 3/4 of an acre of woods.

I knew it was about time for the new contest forum/threads but by the time we quit working each day I was too tired to care much about doing it.

I started it on Independence Day last year, but before I took it over it was usually posted somewhere around the same third week of July.

I have that same “not feeling it” problem some years but by the time opening day rolls around I’m always ready to go.

You don't have to feed the bike when you are not riding it, you don't have to pay to get the tires trimmed, biggest an electric bike does not crap.

Nah. The hay and grain will be an added expense, but the care and upkeep falls squarely on the wife. She knows that too.

From the start I was against bringing them here, but in the end I conceded. There was an understanding though. I do the fencing/building work and all of the care of the animals is on her during hunting season. I’ll help with it here and there so she can go hiking once in a while, but deer hunting trumps all horse related crap.

If she tries to change that you’ll most likely see a small mushroom cloud in SE Missouri.

Add to that the fact that an electric bike won’t spook and launch you 9 feet into the air where you break ribs hitting the ground.

I went in and got one of my trail cameras I put out 7 weeks ago. Water was rising fast and I didn't want it to go underwater. Got to the camera and it only last one month! Brand new camera...bunch of ants and bugs got up in it. Jumped two good bucks today on the way in so I was excited to see the trail cam pics. One of them had a rack a few inches past its ears...last Pic was dated 6/12 and then it shut off. I found the two beds they jumped out of and put out a cam. I really want to see what they look like next month.

You and I have both been married long enough to our wives to know that is not how it will work.

Very true, but at least in Joe's case, he is still a one hit wonder.
