During my nearly 40yr career of working in hospitals, there was one phrase we were never to use. If you said these words you would get dirty looks, people telling you "don't say that", and a grouchy old nurse might tell you to shut up! That phrase was "it's sure quiet today." Because as soon as you said it chaos would ensue. Well I'm gonna say it this morning because it's so quiet here I can almost hear my own heart beating. Ok, I said it. Now let the chaos begin! Yes, that phrase may have caused a full milkshake or two to be launched onto the windshield of a cruiser from time to time.......
It's almost 2 hours since legal light and I just heard the first gunshot. Not sure if that's good or bad Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Quite a bit of shooting here in NY. I’m on a slow walk to a different spot with a little more diversity of brush and trees
I’ve been mia and had pages upon pages to catch up on this morning. there’s been some great great bucks that have fallen, congratulations to all of you killers! I had a very proud uncle moment Saturday night, my niece shot her first buck and a dandy at that. I helped raise this not so little girl for the first two year of her life and formed a very close and inseparable bond! At 5:45 I got a call and the first words that I heard were “Uncle Mitchell I got one” and I lost it, tears, laughs, and everything in between. I quickly loaded up the 4wheeler, lights, and a few celebratory beers for when we got back to my sister and Brother-in-law’s house. We took some great pictures, hugged, and high-fived. This is one that I’ll never forget!
The blood trail was easy to follow, but it was dark red, and then I found patches of lighter red. Then I found a piece of bone which usually means a leg hit it all the way to my neighbors, backyard, where I found the last blood, and I cannot find any blood from there. I tracked it for about 200 yards pretty easily. The blood started getting watery. My next-door neighbors are anti-hunters but I think that buck probably cross the road, but I could not find any blood after that last blood in their backyard. So I’m contacting my neighbors across the road. They will let me look, but I don’t think I’m gonna find this guy. This blows. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
