    My thoughts If the cavity was facing the rear or practically atop the exhaust tail pipe, it might gather smut or mud. But facing the rear, with the hide on, probably little to be concerned about.

    @Slugger badass man. Congrats.

    I'm up for the eve. Still east wind, bit more speed, 54 degrees and the bucks are on the hunt here. Anything could cruise by this spot. Good luck everyone.

    been another rough/slow vac. so far .. nothing but dinks .. but last evening I finally saw a decent buck (54+ yds), at least ear width, maybe a tad more, decent tine length, but could not get a point count due to low light .... another 3 pt walked by this AM at 23 yds... rain coming tonight, I'll be back out as soon as it clears .... time is running down as the end of Vac. #2 nears ..... "tic toc Mr. Wick, tic-toc" ....

    Raining on and off all day today ending tonight. High of 46 tomorrow with light and variable winds. Movement should be dynamite right?

    …. RIGHT?!

    Quiet sit with lots of chickadee. Heard some shuffling behind the blind where new apple rub is but nothing came out infront.
    This traditional late afternoon stand just maybe an early morning one now. I'll find out tomorrow.

    Didn't see a deer. Racoon at last light. Needed another year.

    Sorry to leave everyone hanging, got down at 12:30, didn’t see any more after the bucks. I moved my sticks and platform to a new tree that I would have possibly had a shot opportunity from. This area is so thick I ended up having to do a lot more trimming on the ground than I wanted to, but I know have some good lanes in the thick stuff at 25 and 40, then have openings in the swamp from 10-30 yards. Work tomorrow then I’m back at it Friday and Saturday! Going to be another long day tomorrow working

    hahaha
    I had coney dogs last night (Flint style, which is the only style) and I didn't need a grunt call this AM, and it might have been the reason I didn't see much of anything. Good lord, I couldn't wait for the wind to pick up.

    Anyhoo, hunted the swamp this afternoon and didn't see a thing other than bumping a couple does on the walk in. I think this is the only time I ever hunted that swamp in the PM and didn't see a deer.

    Headed to the 40. More coyotes than deer the last week. We will see if I can stay in the stand all day.

    Pouring rain here. Good luck out there. Good luck with the all day sit Jake. I don't think I've got those in me anymore.

    Just about took a fall in the swamp. I fell forward but luckily put my hand down and landed on a root clump. Whole glove and end of base layer sleeve only got wet. 41 degrees right now so no issue getting cold.

    Haven’t told many on here but the MIL has been going through some rough health issues with her brain for a few years now. Been to the Mayo Clinic numerous times and this year whatever she has going on has gotten worse. They haven’t been able to give her a diagnosis.

    I opened my phone at the bottom of my stand and got a text she went to the ER again last night… thankfully only because of severe anxiety and they are home now. She was reading old notes from her 2 week hospital stint from a few weeks back I guess. Just have to keep praying they figure out something to help.

    I shouldn’t have to get out to check the barn but who knows.

    Good luck guys and gals.
