Well my " visitor'' is back I got him set up for last 2 hrs. He's moving a tad slower today . Only doe on cam there. at 1:30 a. m.
At least they are leaving scent and close to blind where a good shot is possible.
Im thinking the rest of my season and first week of gun are shot. Starting tomorrow until I have to drive them back home 1 1/2 hrs away on Sunday I'll have 2 extra dogs in the house. 4 total all needing seperation. Which means leash potty breaks and walks in shifts. The woods are filled with guns now. Saturday is gun opener. I laugh everyone shoots up a storm on their property the week before gun opener. With 3 gun clubs within 10 mins.

You arent the only one brother. I havent had many zero deer sits but a lot of one, 2 deer and not many big bucks. My good hunting buddy made a good point. He said we get hyped up every year for that last week october first week or 2 of november. But he started reminding me of some good years me and him pounded public, killed good bucks and had tons of great action. And that was all Thanksgiving weekend to the end. At least where we hunt (southern illinois) it seems like now is the time it really gets good. You know the story of the young bull and the old bull right ? Haha. Hang in there man.

125ish. Head on. Big time quartering to at 10 yds. I won't take that shot. He trotted off. I'm sick.

This entire season, September 28th, to November 7th. Several morning and evening sits, no all day sits for me anymore, my back/body can't do it, the best buck I saw was probably a 100"-110" 2 year old. Other than that it was 3 other bucks I saw 1 time each that were smaller than that. Probably 3/4 of my sits this year I saw nothing, not even doe's. Matter of fact the only times I even seen doe's were the 2 times I killed one and the one time I had a clean miss on one. I'm really not used to that. However, it takes one sit to make you forget all those deer less sits and it happened on November 8th. I took my 4th largest buck. A 132 5/8 10 point. So, keep at it. I know all too well how discouraging it can get. Remember, it takes 1 sit to turn a slow, boring, terrible season into your best season ever. 1000003173.jpg 1000003174.jpg 1000003179.jpg

Headed home. Another decent buck came in but no shot. I am an absolute disaster this year. God is prob telling me to just quit. I fell for the first time. Dropped my bow. I slammed into the tree. I think I separated my ribs. Thank goodness I had on my saddle.

Just got back to civilization, been camping in Ohio on public with my buddy’s. Had a blast. Drank too much. Laughed it up and rattled one in today and heart shot em at 30yds. Came in like a freight train through this pine thicket , had me all fired up. Haven’t had that much fun hunting in a couple seasons. Time to focus back on Pa!
