I just had four doe hanging around, I think the evercalm from my boots was driving them nuts. Then out of nowhere a little six pointer came in and busted them up..

Looked like he was gonna commit but he had what he was after already. Blood is pumping! Also my cameras from public down south started blowing up this am. Bigger bucks chasing hard. Looks like Nov. 12th is the can opening for me
Best of luck on the track Slugger! Take a breath and focus, being excited makes us often take up the track too soon. I'm certainly guilty of having done that. I watched a BHOD episode not long ago where Justin and Todd said it is often best to call a buddy to make the decision on when to start tracking and actually do the tracking. Remove the adrenaline filled, excited shooter from the decision making process. Makes a lot of sense.
Wow! I saw the tail end of a deer going through the thick stuff in front of me, for the heck of it I threw a snort wheeze. Sure enough he turned around. Then I hear something behind me and to my left. Behind me is this the small 6 i saw earlier, to my left is a definite shooter 10 point standing on the road. The first one is a two year-old eight pointer that I just might shoot. He comes to within 40 yards and starts snort wheezing. The shooter is directly downwind, and he’s getting suspicious. They hung around for several minutes posturing and finally walked off. Got glimpses of the big one over there a couple more times, I wonder if he’s tending doe? Either way, not gonna mess with him. Soon enough, he’ll be cruising again. Damn, that was fun
