I'm in my new blind set up. Let's hope the wind dies down and one of those bruise bucks wants to fight again! 20241110_143116.jpeg

Thank you Guys he's in need of them. So far a talus bone fracture in his foot that may need surgery and months to recover. They are doing more scans for a closer look.
Breathing is tough as far as pain goes. They have him doped up pretty good.

Then just told allergy test came back for our oldest grandson. Allergic to....birds, TREES and GRASS. Seriously?.. they are needing a win at this point

I don't remember where I left you guys in this story...

The drone found my buck bedded, we went out the next morning and he was gone. No sign, but we searched the area. Dogs were busy/refused to help, so the drone offered to come back out that evening. We found him bedded 250 yards away from the previous night's location. We went out this morning and he was gone. No sign, but we searched the area. 220 yards from the previous night's location, we jumped a big 10 point (97% sure it was my buck). He was moving pretty well, so I'm not sure he's going to die any time soon. I sent my pins and pics to the property owner who said he would keep an eye out. I plan to search back toward my property tomorrow to make sure he didn't double back. I'm pretty freaking dejected right now...

He ended up going .87 miles over a 50 hour period.

12 straight afternoons I hunted. Hinted this morning.
I sighted in my .450 this afternoon. Ki gun season starts Friday. I spent lots of $ and time trying to sighted the gun in. I was going to trade it in, but the guy at shop recommended I send it into Ruger. Turns out the scope rail needed to be tightened down. Frustrating that I spent $350+ on better ammo and many hours, but happy the issue is resolved. Feel confident out to 200 yards.

Certainly praying for your son OND. What is his name?

Good luck to the hunters this evening. I'll be back out after work tomorrow.

    Thanks for the update Airness.

Temperature is starting to cool so that’s good. Just had a coyote spend 10mins going by which was cool to watch. Got about 2 hrs of light.

They finally got his hand stitched up and waiting the other scans. Apparently it's a busy Sunday at the local ER. This worries me. No orthopedic surgeon so I'm really hoping they give referral. I like my surgeon but I'm hoping they get our general, who's a sports physician to recommend one He handles local university soccer teams
Oh this is same foot ankle he took out, Very bad brake, during his motorcross racing days in high school.

Just had a doe walking away from me in a field at about 150yds. Then a spike comes out the woods behind me at 50yds. They have definitely started to move.

Well this is great....some jacka$$ trespasser just drove a sport quad all around me and scared the 2 does in the field away.

Nobody else should be out here. He was driving on the local gas company's access roads that are on the property (which is also trespassing) and decided to go on the private property. I am heated right now!
