THP is always smacking deer on burr oaks and pin oaks, and they hunt a lot in both MO and IA. From appearance and early season dropping, I would venture to guess that burr oaks are close to white oaks in size and calories.
Opening day tomorrow. Won’t be in the stand this weekend. Warm, anniversary tomorrow, and helping the ladies grandma clean up her yard/gardens and then have a dinner. It’s been a tough few months health wise for them so it will be good to get over there and help. Good luck to those in a tree! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For y’all that can hunt tomorrow please kill something and be safe! Send some blood pics or @tdk5525 will be pissed !!!
I was supposed to have opening weekend off, but the boss had a rough go of it at home with a sick kid. So, work it will be this weekend.
Starting to think this bear/family has a den real close to this camera. She rubs on that tree so much. They cleared a lot of trees real close and piled them up would imagine somewhere in there. 150yds from where I walked up on her a few weekends ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well it's showtime everyone. Opening day of NJ Archery season. I'm up and getting ready. Shooting time is 0610. Lots of Doe on cell camera at the stand I'm headed to. I have to shoot a Doe first in NJ, by law, so hopefully one presents itself. I'll be in this stand all weekend till I knock one down, then I'll switch to my Buck stand on the same 100acre property. Good luck everyone, shoot straight and be safe.
Gm, setup, but waiting for some more light to be able to see my pin. Breezy, humid, but cool (67F) for these parts.
Up in a tree with my son for youth hunt. Hoping he gets his first deer. Had something walk through woods behind us in the dark. May have been a coon?? Good luck to those out
Second Doe shot fired. Gonna get down and look for the first then go look for the second. This one was almost perfectly broadside and 20, video looks good.
