Had a buck walk perfect to the doe decoy. 1 tall point and 8 on the other. Smelled her tail then went and stood confused for about 10 minutes and walked off into the wind. First time using a decoy. That was fun IMG_5778.jpeg

I had one for a bit and took it off, just be mindful of brush/stick anything that’s in front of what your ranging. I think it’s excellent in open country, but not so much in thicker woods.

At least 5 within 40yds with grunting and light chasing. Not light enough.

Already having an awesome sit, just before first light had a spike come under me and work the scrape, then just a few minutes ago a small 6 came through at 25 yards… thought about it but I’m hoping for a bigger one today!

Question for you guys. The other day when the CO killed that big buck, by the way it weighed 250 lbs, he told me that it came in and made a scrape right in front of him at 20yds and then proceeded to bed down right in the scrape. He said it layed there for about 10 minutes and then got up and that's when he shot it. Anyone ever see a buck lay in its own scrape? I've never heard of that.

Just had a small doe come right under me. Having an awesome morning, hoping a big boy comes by. Had some blue jays going crazy up on the hill where I know deer bed. Hopefully something comes this way

Just got busted by a really good buck. He came in downwind about 50yds out. He didn't look like he was going to stop or come my way. I grunted at him and I guess it caused him to stop and smell the roses. When he did he caught my scent and took off the way he came. He was definitely a good one

Been up since 2, couldn’t go to sleep, so made some breakfast and got out here around 430. Only a single sided 3 point and a 6 point so far.
Feel like I’m in a good spot inside the woods.
