I’m up and rolling. The orange army enters the woods today in MN, so if it doesn’t happen this morning it is going to be tough after that. Good luck everyone

All set up in the swamp, I’ve never hunted in here in the morning and only sat it twice last year in the late season, tracks and trails all through here. 3 scrapes right by me, but none of them have been worked in some time. I’ve never hunted this property during the rut in the morning, we have always hunted over our plots in the evening. Goodluck out there everyone!!

A quote from Fred Bear: “Go afield with a good attitude, with respect for the wildlife you hunt and for the forest and fields in which you walk. Immerse yourself in the outdoor experience. It will cleanse your soul and make you a better person.”

It is rifle season. I am switching it up and have the 6.5 this morning. The girlfriend’s family needs meat… I’m not sure anything is safe. It’s time for deer camp 2024.

    Good luck everyone.

It’s in the 20s here and zero wind. I’ll be able to hear them coming for sure. Only one target for me today. Hope he shows up.

    Good luck, everybody! Stay safe!

Been in over an hr. Nearly legal light. Firm breeze making a bit of noise with the remaining leaves. Will be in the high 40s shortly.

    Good luck and be safe!

If you're feeling like you have no chance, remember this will likely be the best weekend of our season. It can change in seconds! Good luck and don't lose focus.

Pastor's kid, 22, didn't think he could meet me at 545...so I told him to wait until 7 when it gets light to walk in!

Air - glad you found him. Still a place you can hunt? Pray you get him!

38, 10mph winds out of the northwest, perfect for this stand. Hand warmers going. Can hear and see them coming from 150yds or so. Doe or Buck dies here.

Unknown deer came in the dark, Spike at day break. More deer coming in now about 100yds away.

Doe and 2 fawns so far. Sounds like I have turkeys roosted all around me.

Well it ain't the best start I've ever had to the day. I got about 10yds from my tree and tripped on a log and down I went. I'm fine but the bracket that holds my quiver was bent real bad. I'm hoping that won't effect the scope. Not the way I wanted to start the day
