That's an awesome story. Way to go! here's a quick video talking about when the rut occurs https://www.facebook.com/share/v/eGnoCb8GAs6cTh4D/
Beautiful day. 3 hrs on stand. No deer moving yet. Keep thinking I hear something 50 yds to my north but can't see it.
This was one of my target bucks. The property I hunt I share with the local CO. This morning we arrived there at the same time and then when I came out he was at his truck changing his clothes. I asked him if he had seen anything and he said he had but had lost the trail. I offered to go back in with him and help him search. We probably searched for 20 minutes and found this guy. Very impressive rack but an even more impressive body. I was very happy for him. If I didn't get it I'm glad he did. He's a good guy that does alot of extra work on the property. Midday jitters getting me. Got down to stretch and wizz. Mitch inspired me to bleat and grunt a bit. Probably try again near sunset. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Came back to the climber i set and left everything at the tree and jumped a good buck bedded with a doe. They were 50 yards behind my stand. Bummer.
