Good luck out there this morning if you're out. I'm still in SC for work. Headed to Charlotte this evening. My plan is to be on stand in Ohio tomorrow evening.
Well that was a interesting walk in I have to cross a pretty good size cow pasture to get to my stand so I had my red light on my head I had it set pretty dim because I know my way around here like the back of my hand so I couldn’t really see but about 2 feet in front of me and about 200 yards from where I go in the woods less than 10 feet from me a hog started huffing at me luckily it went on into the woods but needless to saw I turned my light on to bright white the rest of the way that was pretty intense Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Driving to do an all day sit. It’s 38f which is over 20f drop from yesterday and 5-8mph wind all day with a high of 58f. Sounds perfect to me. Good luck everyone!!!
Heading back to the stand .. NY for the rest of this season… Good luck everyone and stay safe! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I wasn't going to hunt this morning but here I am. I couldn't pass up the opportunity in this stand that is ideal with a north wind. Let's get 'em boys! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
First time having to use the headlamp this year. Extreme fog… dense fog advisory until 8am. I’m sure it will be later than that here in this swamp. Few times I almost had water go over my boots. Few times I almost lost my balance with my bow and jacket/bibs in my arms. Wind is more out of the west than I expected as well. Face will be hurting after today it’s already gusting to 10mph. Not sure how this fog is sticking around but it is. Good luck everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Found this yesterday. Wonder how big he's gotta be to do this. Looked to get hit year after year as well Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
To the office for the last time this week. I'll be in the stand Sat morning and Monday. Weather is weird anyway, warm and humid, off and on showers. Good luck those out.
Go watch a classic comedy like Revenge of the Nerds, or something more obscure like Spies Like Us. Something silly like that. Always helps me to reset.
Passed a nice young 2.5 8pt yester afternoon. Not really what I'm looking for on this property, plus I only had him broadside and clean at 35-40 so that helped make my decision. Then I got to help my buddy drag a doe out, which was nice because then I got to eat fresh fire grilled tendies and heart. I'm in a tree and sun is just about to crack over the horizon. Life is good.
